TYPES OF

DDC-SIZERS

McLanahan Corporation has designed and manufactured its DDC-Sizers to be more efficient and deliver a better total cost of ownership than competitive equipment. McLanahan sells several configurations of sizers, including Primary & Secondary DDC-Sizers, Tertiary DDC-Sizers and Fine Grinding Sizers. DDC-Sizers are used in applications where the material being crushed has natural fracture plains and lends itself to compression crushing, rather than attrition or impact crushing. They are recommended for applications where a 4:1 reduction ratio is required.

Primary DDC Sizer

Primary & Secondary DDC-Sizers

Used in the primary and secondary reduction of friable, low silica minerals, these DDC-Sizers can be used in both surface and underground mining. Their direct drive arrangement and low-profile design is ideal for movable configurations, such as wheel-mounting under a hopper.

Tertiary DDC Sizer

Tertiary DDC-Sizers

Similar to Primary and Secondary DDC-Sizers, the Tertiary DDC-Sizer can be used in surface and underground mining operations for the tertiary reduction of friable, low-silica materials. The difference is that Tertiary DDC-Sizers feature outward rotating rolls to provide two crushed product streams.

Fine Grinding Sizer

Fine Grinding Sizers

This small-footprint Fine Grinding DDC-Sizer offers a cost-effective alternative to high-pressure grinding machines. They are ideal for use in pilot plants or for small capacity applications, such as lithium, cadmium, uranium coal and agglomerated ores.
